Become a CASA Colleague
On a daily basis, abused and neglected children in Erie County deal with difficult circumstances that most people never encounter in a lifetime. Compounding the situation, these children are often surrounded by unfamiliar faces-police, foster parents, social workers, teachers, and other foster youth.
Having a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) means having a trained community volunteer who is appointed by a judge to represent a child's "best interest" in court. A CASA volunteer helps to ensure that a child is led through the child welfare system without getting lost in the proceedings. Are you willing to be the one constant adult in that child's life?
Be the voice of hope for an abused or neglected child. If you are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer please fill out the Volunteer Application below or download and print the application, mail, and return it to: Erie County CASA Program, 111 East Shoreline Drive, Suite 5, Sandusky OH 44870 or email it to: ohcasakids@yahoo.com.
