Volunteer Spotlight

Being a CASA is an incredible and fulfilling experience.  My husband and I were previously foster parents with Erie County, and I was looking for a way to become involved again.  CASA has been a perfect fit.  I have a strong passion for advocacy, especially for children and teens.  In my role as a CASA, I get to work with children and their families to ensure they have a safe environment and work towards the goal of permanency.  I get to be a voice and advocate for someone who needs it the most.  Being a CASA has been both meaningful and impactful to my own personal growth.  But most importantly, it is an incredible feeling knowing that I made a difference in a child’s life.
